The heroes of church are the hundreds of volunteers that make church happen – from the first impressions team that welcome people to a weekend service, the production team who operate the lights during an event, to the media team who take care of this website and the amazing kids team helping to train up a younger generation - every volunteer is a legend!
Not only does volunteering mean you can help to build church, but it’s also a great way to make new friends, grow in your relationship with God and discover new skills.
Anyone can get involved in volunteering in a team in church – you don’t need to have been around for years and we can help you with some on the job training to develop your skills.
We would recommend two teams as a great place to start volunteering in church:
- First Impressions – this includes the car park team outside the venue, the hosts on the doors, to the team preparing hot drinks in the kitchen. It’s all about giving people a great welcome.
- Home Team – this team are passionate about helping people to feel at home with us. They help to set up the venue ready for the day and to make sure we leave venues in an excellent condition at the end of an event.
We also run a monthly Volunteer University , a one off training night where you will learn how to be a great volunteer to both bring your best and get the best best out of serving.
You don't need to worry that if you serve once you're signed up for life! We always encourage people to come along as a one-off and have a go to see if it suits you.
