FAQ
FAQs
How do I register my child?
On arrival, you will be shown to our Kids rooms by one of our hosts. Once at the Kids rooms, you will be greeted by one of the Kids leaders and if it’s your first visit, they will ask you to fill in one of our registration forms. For each child, you will then be given a number card that you will need to look after and bring back when you collect your child. Registration opens 30 minutes before each service starts and closes 30 minutes after they end.
You can download a registration form and complete it in advance here.
What if I’m needed during the service?
If we need to get a hold of you during the service, we will do so through a parent alert. Your child’s registration number will appear on the screen in the auditorium, letting you know that we need you for something. You should then come straight to the relevant Kids room.
What is my child has special educational needs/circumstances?
We will do all we can to ensure that your child can have the best possible time in Proclaimers Kids, whatever their specific needs or special circumstances. Our Kids Team are experienced in supporting children with a wide variety of different needs, but it would be helpful for you to contact us in advance so that we can make any extra provisions necessary. Email our kids department leader markhodder@proclaimers.com
How can I get involved in the Kids and Families Team?
We would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved with the Kids and Families Team. Whether you have lots of experience with working with children, or just a little, please get in contact with us or speak to one of the team on Sunday. It is such a privilege to serve with the Kids so we would definitely all recommend it!
What if my child wants to stay with me during the service?
That’s fine! Your child would definitely have a great time if they came out to our Kids programmes, but we understand that some children would rather stay with their parents to begin with. You are more than welcome to come and have a look at our kids areas so that you child can meet some of our leaders and see how much fun is being had!
What if I want someone else to collect my child?
One of the reasons why we use a number system at registration is that you are able to pass this number on to someone else that you trust. Just make sure that if someone else is collecting your child on your behalf, you give them your card so that we know that you have given them your permission!
What resources do you have available for the kids?
At our resources area, there are a number of items for children that we, as a church, fully recommend. We have bibles available, as well as other resources that will help your child grow in their relationship with God.
Who will be looking after my kids?
The leaders in both Crèche and Spark are fully CRB checked and, as a church, we follow strict child protection procedures. The team are enthusiastic and lots of fun, as well as dedicated and well trained. Our volunteers also bring a wealth of experience of working with children from their professional careers, as several of the key members of the team are Primary School teachers.
What if I’m going to leave the site?
If you intend to leave the site, but leave your child(ren) with us, then you must tell us. We will insist that you either tell us who will be responsible for your children while you are offsite, or give us your mobile phone number, with the assurance that you will be able to answer it while you are away, should we need to contact you.
What information will I need to give you?
When you register your child for the first time, we will ask you to fill in a parental consent form about your child. This will give us all of the information we need to ensure that your child has a safe time with us, including any medical details, including allergies. You also have the chance to say whether or not you are happy for to use photos of your child in media projects or contact you about future Kids events. You can download our consent form here, and even fill one in ready for when you come along!
