Christmas Appeal 2012

Christmas is a time of year where we can celebrate and have some fun together and at Proclaimers it's a time when we also look to helping those in need in our city.

Every year we run a Christmas appeal that helps to make a difference in the lives of others. In 2011 we were able to give out Christmas Hampers to over 100 families, we provided bedding and other essentials to those sleeping on the streets and, supported work in feeding the hungry in Latvia.

This year we are looking to support the work of Love Norwich in a variety of ways:

Children's Christmas Party

We want to create an amazing memory for children as they join us for a special Christmas party. As we look to support families who are struggling we will still give them a great hamper packed with all the food they need for Christmas day, but we wanted to treat them too so we decided to host a party! Every child will be given a wonderful gift, Mums will have a pamper room and the Dads a place to hang out while the kids have a blast with fun games and activities.

Strength & Shine

Over 2011 we have seen such great momentum to our Shine course - teaching women and girls about their unique worth and value. In 2012 as well as expanding our Shine course we want to take this message to the boys with Strength. We've already had interest from local schools and agencies who can't wait for us to start!

Servolution

Helping to meet need in practical ways is what servolution is all about. It's one off projects that can have a real impact on the life of an individual or group. Like this summer when we did a garden make over for an individual struggling with a disability. We want to be doing so much more for the people of the fine city of Norwich and money given in our Christmas Appeal will help to move this to a whole new level over the next 12 months!

  • Mince Pies
  • Custard
  • Crackers
  • Tin of chocolates
  • Shortbread
  • Crisps
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Packets of stuffing
  • Squash
  • Chocolate Yule Log

Food for the hampers is needed by Sunday 4th December and can be handed in at The Space
